oh my MOCCASINS

I saw a woman last week with red Moccasins that looked just too adorable for words and I thought about them the rest of the week. Then the weekend came and those thoughts vanished with the hustle and bustle of the days. BUT yesterday I saw THESE on dear golden vintage blogspot and it is back, the lusting and NEED to have these moccassins. Nevermind that I have white ankle moccassins and camel colored calf legnth ones and a pair of brown almost exactly like these BUT NOT THESE. I need THESE ones..;)



and so my mission begins.I can't wait to get paid!

I was just looking through the Mad Men website (Yes I am a crazy obsessed fan) of course the 50's/60's is my time! The time I missed but so wish I lived for fashion reasons, however we get the best of both worlds NOW! yay!

anyhoo while looking through all the photos I feel like I need more and more photos of all my vintage collection (which my husband would agree is too much for my health) but a girl cannot resist a good estate sale whether or not she needs a 98th pair of vintage gloves.

movie day

A day out with the boys and my beautiful nieces! I had them dig in my closet and pick out an outfit to wear. They were so excited. We went to the movies and then to have pizza it was indeed a great night. I just love those girls!



There I am wearing a Miley Cyrus short outfit (feeling young) with an wonderful Estate sale belt, thrifted white eyelet wedges and my handy dandy movie estate sale bag. Big enough for popcorn, and $1 candy boxes plus some pull-ups and a sweater.For some reason I always freeze in the theater. burrr. Posed under that beautiful Arizona sunset!

and there's my skinny little bit. wearing a Forever 21 mini dress I got a few years back with a vintage belt (the only one in my closet I could find that didn't wrap around her twice ;)) with a Stella Rose mesh heart necklace.
We went to watch Alice In Wonderland so it seemed fitting for the occasion.

the fringe vest!

One of my friends is having a 70's themed party for her boyfriend in a couple months since he will be turing 40 meaning he was born in 1970 so I have been searching my closet (which just happens to be extremely FULL of 70's vintage pieces) whodda thunk! I really need to organize my closet so I can KNOW what I have in there..hahaha

either way the only piece I am missing is the FRINGE VEST and I am on a mission to find one! Must channel my inner Janice Joplin.




I recently found my 70's style slip on clogs(pic to come) and now I am in must search for all things I want mode. This weekend I will be hitting all the thrift stores and estate sales one can stand YAY! I will be sure to post my findings which will most likely be everything BUT what I was looking for but love none the less.:)

Busy making babies

HAHAHA okay so its true we have been working on ROUND 3..I know I am a crazy soul but I want my little girl.
Having said that I am happy as can be discovering Forever 21 has come out with a small but dandy MATERNITY line called LOVE21. I didnt see too many cute tops I would like but with the style today you can find them in regular sizes with enough room for a baby belly. What I love is that they have pants for under $20 hard to find in any specialized maternity stores even leggins are expensive in those stores.
Here are a few items I will be hopefully purchasing in the near future ;)

Pin-up for Pets

This past weekend I did a charity event Pin-up for pets dog wash. It was so much fun and made me feel all fuzzy and warm inside!

I got to wear an original 50's swimsuit I got from my grandma many years ago. I LOVE IT!

The event was a hit with each of the 3 charities getting over $100 each. YAY!!

Vegas upcycle part 1:Black Lace and red

I went to Vegas last weekend with my hus and a group of friends for some good times which we appropriately named (Double Quince) you have to say it in spanish which basically means second quince (for those that dont know a quince is the mexican equivelent of sweet sixteen but way more dramatic) so since most of my friends are turing the big 30 this year we had one big DOUBLE QUINCE in Vegas..

For some REALLY ODD reason I didn't feel like shopping for my party dresses..actually I tried and didnt find anything I REALLY liked and gave up quickly.

so I dug this dress out of the back of my closet...

A co-worker had given me this guess dress a loooong time ago but true to nature I have been hoarding it. Good thing for me cause I just altered it a little and it became my friday night out dress!


I add a touch of color with my orange-red birthday shoes and the new lipstick color I had been searching for FOREVER thank you REVLON, added an estate sale vintage chain from my collection(which the husband did not agree with but what does he know) and ready for a night out.. yaay!



to showcase the importance of cute but comfy shoes. You never want to walk around a Vegas bathroom barefoot..ewww.

Summer Sandals

So before I went to vegas last weekend I went on a mad dash through the mall to find the perfect pair of wedge sandals to no avail.Being that it is practically the middle of summer here in Arizona I thought for sure they would be everywhere! Needless to say nothing has changed Vegas or not I WANT THEM! but I don't want to wait or pay shipping for them..hahaha. So the mission continues....

Like every other shoe gal in the world I want an pair in EVERY COLOR.. all different but you never know when you need brown instead of beige or black instead of brown..teehee

Rockin Queen Boutique

Since my camera isn't currently in working status I will share with you all some of my recent buys from Rockin Queen Boutique www.therockinqueen.com!

There was so much to love and lust after. But with my limited budget I had to sacrifice.

I got this lovely gromet dress that I have yet to wear but am so anxious to do so!


I also got these high waist wide leg pants that I have worn once but need to get on again before it gets too hot to do so.



those are the only two pictures I could find online of the items I purchased. I also purchased a pair of lime green graffiti skinny jeans for my god-daughter for keep your grades up motivation. A pair of graffiti boyfriend cutoff jean shorts and a brown and beige floral skirt. I swear I stayed within my budget.. hahaha.

She (lizette, owner of Rockin Queen) also had a gromet black monokini that I am lusting after along with a pin-up style two piece with suspenders but only in black and I want too add some color to this dark skin that will only get darker in the summer sun.
she will be getting more swimsuits come May so I plan to go back and stock up!

She GAVE me two pairs of Guitar pick earrings that are just too adorable.

Introducing myself!

Hello everyone and NO ONE at this point ;)!

I have been wanting to start my own "fashion ect" blog for a while and finally thought what the heck lets(me, myself and I) do it! So here we are ;)

some fun facts about lil ole me:

1. I love the color YELLOW (okay obsessed)

2. I am a happily married mother of 2 little fellas and considering working on #3(hopefully girl) this summer

3. I love vintage -all things vintage with a little mix of modern

4. I do pin-up style modeling -and a little of everything else here and there for the fun of it

5. I have a things to do before I die list and LIVE BY IT

6. I live in sunny arizona (hence the name of my blog along with the fact that sunshine in my eyes is yellow)

7.I march to the beat of my own drum.

8. My sister and I have a business together photography and design -we have a seperate blog for it as well

9. I love art, theater, dance, music and photography to my core

10.I smile way too big

11. I love to sew, upcycle, create.. the possiblities are endless

12. I love trees-all trees (my livingroom is decorated in leafless tree decor..beautiful)

13. I am a traveler and have left little pieces of my heart and my being here and there while I pick up other parts of my heart and being along the way

14. I love me for all the things that make me ...ME but especially for not being able to be defined..
